Here’s how to apply for an Italian language program with us:
1. Choose an Italian language school
We offer a wide range of schools and programs, including group classes, private lessons, and customized courses to learn Italian. The most popular option is the 20-hour-per-week group class, but schools also provide flexible alternatives with fewer hours per week or more intensive programs. No matter your preference, there’s a course to suit your needs.
If you’re interested in pursuing a degree in Italy, we can assist with that as well. Browse our partner schools here and select the program that you like the best. If you’re unsure which school to choose, feel free to contact us—we’re happy to guide you.
2. Complete the application form
Applying to an Italian language school is simple and straightforward. Just fill out an online form with your personal details, contact information, academic background, study duration, and chosen school.
3. Pay a deposit
To secure your spot, you’ll need to pay a deposit. The amount varies depending on the program, typically ranging from €200 to 25% of the full tuition. You also have the option to pay the full tuition upfront if that’s what you prefer.
4. Apply for accommodation
Find your ideal housing through our partners, Uniplaces and Housing Anywhere, and book your accommodation in advance. You can choose between shared or private apartments. If you prefer a more immersive experience, you also have the option to live with a local family—just let us know!
5. Get your visa (if applicable)
Non-EU students planning to study for more than 90 days will need a student visa. Go! Go! Italia can assist with the visa application process—read more here. If you are an EU resident, the visa is not necessary, and you stay in Italy as long as you want. More on this here.
6. Get insurance
If you need a visa, insurance is mandatory. Even if you don’t, we highly recommend having coverage. Medical costs in Italy can be expensive if you’re not enrolled in the local healthcare system.
EU residents applying for short-term courses should opt for travel insurance, while long-term students should consider enrolling in Italy’s national health system after arrival.
7. Fly to Italy!
You’re all set! Pack your essentials, double-check your documents, and get ready for an unforgettable experience in Italy.
